Giving a Voice to Family Organisations through Social Media:
Social Media Creative Workshops Resources
How can VCS organisations get the most out of Twitter? Would a Facebook page help connect with families? Would blogging help tell people demonstrate impact?
There are so many ways for VCS organisations working with families to engage with social media techniques that the choices can seem endless. The Family Strategic Partnership (FSP) and digital media agency sounddelivery have hosted a series of hands-on social media training workshops aroundEngland in March and April 2012 with a focus on voluntary and community sector organisations working to improve the lives of families and produced The Getting Started with Social Media handbook .
The aim of the resource is to enable organisations to become confident in using social and digital media to enable VCS organisations to:
- Communicate about important work with families
- Draw on the views of families and ensure their voice is heard; and
- Influence policymaking
