New research: Commissioning for Better Outcomes

Family services commissioning is having an enormous impact on the way that local authorities and the voluntary sector work together to deliver the best outcomes for families. Commissioning for Better Outcomes presents the findings of new research the FSP has carried out with commissioners and providers across England. It highlights the barriers to voluntary sector participation in the bidding process, and recommends policy and practice solutions to enable a strong and diverse marketplace for family services.

The Family Strategic Partnership will use the findings of this research to engage directly with local government, including holding a roundtable event for local authority and VCSES leaders to develop an approach to partnership working that is strategic, long term and not simply transactional.
